US Clinical trial meeting Phoenix
During the ASTRO Head and Neck conference in Phoenix AZ, Sensius hosted a meeting with 6 USA-based clinics. The intention of the meeting was to discuss the outline of a clinical protocol for trials from phase I to phase III, with the objective of obtaining FDA clearance and reimbursement. By hitting these milestones, the therapy can be widely adopted and improve the outcome of treatment and quality of life of many patients suffering from head and neck cancer.
The meeting was presided over by Jason Molitoris (UoM Baltimore), whereas Mark Hurwitz (MC Westchester) did a presentation on the Mechanism of Action of thermotherapy. Interestingly, whereas the focus in Europe is on the combination of radiotherapy and thermotherapy, the US clinics tend to focus more on the combination of radiochemotherapy and thermotherapy.
