Elisa Kahn, Non-executive Director
Elisa’s career spans more than 25 years in investment banking working for Mizhuho Bank, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch where she specialized in debt capital markets. She is the founder of W Global Capital, set-up in 2016, which focuses heavily on the biotech/biopharma markets globally introducing companies at various stages of development to potential funding partners. Prior to W Global Capital, Elisa worked for Knight Capital helping Asian based investors restructure their portfolios after the crash in 2008, the Greek government bond crisis and other difficult and delicate situations. Elisa worked for more than 10 years at Lehman Brothers where she set up a fixed income Japan/Asian sales group. She is a fluent Japanese and Mandarin (Chinese) speaker.
Hans van der Sluijs, Non-executive Director
Hans began his career in human resources consulting before joining his family's business, where he became a board member. The company was involved in trading and logistics in the downstream oil market and was successfully sold in 2012. After the sale, Hans shifted his focus to private equity and investment activities. Over the past decade, Hans has actively participated in private investments, concentrating on impact investing. Through his personal investments and his family impact fund, Exclusa, he backs companies and projects that merge commercial success with positive social and environmental impact. Since 2020, Exclusa has invested in Sensius, supporting the company's mission and growth. After the latest financing round, Hans joined the Board of Directors of Sensius as Exclusa’s representative.
Paul van den Biggelaar, CEO of Sensius
Paul has studied the potential of thermotherapy for over a decade. He has more than 30 years of experience in High Tech, of which he spent 15 years as an Executive. Before co-founding and leading Sensius in 2015, Paul had co-founded and led NRGLed and HEARConcepts. He is also an Entrepreneur at ThinkThrough, a company that invests in high tech ideas and concepts to turn them into products and companies. Prior to that Paul was an Executive at Nucletron where he was Business Unit Director and later responsible for all product development. Paul has a MSc degree in Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology.
